The Castle's Keep

Courts of kingdoms always hide secrets, be they from other members of the court or foreign nations. Though noble houses band together, sometimes they are kept that way only to plot against one another

Luminiege: Luminiege is a barren wasteland that is by far the coldest country in the realm. It was once a large land with many people. Since the war, however, the land has grown to be a cold place full of mistrust and anger. The change in weather, from one of moderate snow to one of nothing but snow, as well as the fact that the wars had killed many inhabitants is the reason for the change in population. Since nothing really grows in the land of snow, virtually nothing grows there. Crops are the most imported good, though hunting yields many profits since there are plenty of animals such as elk. The chief export of the realm is weaponry and armor, mainly because the Luminiegians are known warriors. The best weaponry, however, is reserved for the armies of King Bennett himself. Deep within the land, there are rumors of things such as yeti and frost dragons but many believe these to be myths told by women to keep their children in line. Perhaps the pride of the Luminiege people is the castle of King Bennett. The outer wall is a cool gray color but the turrets are each topped by a sphere that is decorated with the colors of the Bennett family. This castle was built especially for the Bennett family, seeing as the original was destroyed in the war that the now King's father led against the former royal family. The courtyard inside of the castle is the only place much vegitation grows within the lands. White roses grow, the occasional red rose looking like the blood often spilled against the snow in the land. Many have different theories about why roses will grow in the courtyard but nothing will grow in the rest of the land. Rumors have it that the current King Bennett's deceased mother, blessed the lands herself before her death with witchcraft. Others say it is because Bennett buries the bodies of his enemies in the yard to keep it fertile. None the less, the castle is famed for that reason to the outside world and to recieve an invitation to the royal garden is an honor.

Breena: Kingdom of Breena is a beautiful land filled with towns, farms and forests, the forests are filled with deer, birds and other forest creatures. The fields are bountiful and winters are very mild, in the northern part of the kingdom there are mountions where jewels and metal are mined. In the center layes the biggest city and the royal family's castle. It is a good sized kingdom, it is not the largest kingdom out there for their are many that may be larger. But it is not small by any means. The main export is the precious jewels that a mined in the mountions many of which are rare. They mainly import things like swords and cloth.
Rumored to have a a portal to the fairy realm from which the royal family comes from, also rumored to have rare beasts such as unicorns and winged horses. The castle is said to be the shining jewel of the Kingdom of Breena, the gray walls seem to have a shimmer as if touched by magic. The banners of Queen Angel's family wave in the gentle breeze atop the towers and the gardens are said to be the most beautiful in all the land. The inside is warm and inviting and the thone room is said to be the most lovely room.

Ulfur: To most outsiders, Ulfur seems nothing more than a large, tangled forest beside a river, but it's much more than that. If you're lucky enough to find your way through the trees and vines and other various forms of plant life, or if you're led there by someone who lives in Ulfur, you'll find a 'castle' that stands not only on the ground, but also extends into the trees above and even below the forest; extending into a series of tunnels that can be as confusing as the forest itself. There are no actual villages in Ulfur; those who don't live in the castle have well disguised houses within the trees. A lot of materials are traded in from other kingdoms to make clothes with, as well as extra building materials like stone.
Though a lot of the trees are old and don't do much more than provide shelter to wildlife and make the forest thicker, there are groves of fruit trees that grow around the forest, which they use for trading, along with their handmade bows and arrows. There is also a hidden spring where members of the royal family who rule Ulfur have gone to for years in times where they need peace.
The name Ulfur comes from a word said to mean 'Wolf' and was named so because of a rare species of wolf that's rumoured to live in the forest and is forbidden to kill.
