To most outsiders, Ulfur seems nothing more than a large, tangled forest beside a river, but it's much more than that. If you're lucky enough to find your way through the trees and vines and other various forms of plant life, or if you're led there by someone who lives in Ulfur, you'll find a 'castle' that stands not only on the ground, but also extends into the trees above and even below the forest; extending into a series of tunnels that can be as confusing as the forest itself. There are no actual villages in Ulfur; those who don't live in the castle have well disguised houses within the trees. A lot of materials are traded in from other kingdoms to make clothes with, as well as extra building materials like stone.
Though a lot of the trees are old and don't do much more than provide shelter to wildlife and make the forest thicker, there are groves of fruit trees that grow around the forest, which they use for trading, along with their handmade bows and arrows. There is also a hidden spring where members of the royal family who rule Ulfur have gone to for years in times where they need peace.
The name Ulfur comes from a word said to mean 'Wolf' and was named so because of a rare species of wolf that's rumoured to live in the forest and is forbidden to kill.
