Coming from a large family in the broken kingdom of Essex, there never quite seemed to be enough to go around. Gareth was the only boy in a family of seven girls, biologically. The family also looked over a halfling named Reese who became the closest friend Gareth ever had.
General history:
Coming from a large family in the broken kingdom of Essex, there never quite seemed to be enough to go around. Gareth, being the only boy in a large family of seven girls, usually went without so that his siblings could eat. To make matters even worse, he was very quiet and dared not interact with anyone who he did not feel could be trusted. This narrowed out every one except for the halfling child his parents took in: Reese Wynn. The only solace that Gareth found was in the stories he created in his head. He would keep his sisters occupied while their parents would argue with tales of the incredible, things that no one knew existed.
When he came of age to leave his home, Gareth made sure that his sisters would be looked after before he started traveling the world with Reese at his side. He wanted adventure, wanted to make something of his life unlike what he had grown up with. To pay for this, he told stories in villages that they stopped at, earning money and attention from men, women, and children alike. In addition to doing this, he found that his ability to get close to people made him a natural gambler and pick pocket as well.
These days Gareth is still looking for his adventure.
